Irina Kobzeva-Pavlovic was born in the Soviet Union, in Barnaul (Siberia). Later her family moved to St Petersburg, Russia. She came to the United States more than 20 years ago as a USIA program sponsored high school exchange student and attended West Plate R-II in Weston, MO. She later attended Park University in Parkville, MO, where she met her future husband Robert and together they settled in Kansas City and had their daughter Arianna (now 5).

Irina has two Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration: International Business and Psychology, as well as a Master’s of Public Administration in Non-Profit and Community Management from Park University. She has always been fascinated by and a strong supporter of global issues and the topics of cultural diversity, tolerance and acceptance.

Over the years Irina has been involved with and served in various capacity on boards of many internationally focused organizations in the Kansas City metro area, including GKCPTP, International Relations Council and Sister Cities. Together with her college classmates she co-founded the first People to People College Student Chapter at Park University back in 2001.

Irina currently works as a Director of Marketing and International Business Development at TK Architects International – a boutique architectural firm that designs movie theatres and entertainment globally. She occasionally teaches international management and public administration courses at UMKC and Park University.
